Increasingly new skills are needed to influence culture drivers, get new ideas accepted by the executive team, and find success with line and staff. HR Leaders are planning, presenting, and confirming action items whether the "selling situations" are people, financial, or change related. They are also being sold regarding service, consulting or technology.

These new skills will be instrumental to your ability to inspire, align, and sell a vision that resonates across all key stakeholder (from investors and Board directors and throughout every level of the organization) and makes clear the connection to enterprise value creation. Consider the following:

  • The workforce serves as the #1 source for increased revenue, innovation, and competitive advantage at most companies. Yet, how much time does executive leadership spend discussing Talent?
  • Culture, according to research from Columbia Business School, is the largest off Balance Sheet asset of a company. Why is it then—per distinct studies from i4cp and PwC—that Culture ranks near the bottom of topics corporate boards believe they should be discussing more?
  • A company’s brand (i.e., its reputation) has been shown to account for one-third of the value of the world’s top 15 stock markets. But how much responsibility do your leaders accept to create and reinforce a superior employee experience?

We’ll hear from two speakers at this interactive, proactive session:

Kevin Martin, Chief Research Officer at i4cp will share strategies that can be used to make the case for intangible investments, offering insight into how to better influence the adoption of human capital initiatives that are well aligned to the business strategy. In what will surely be a two-way conversation, hear from Kevin and discuss with other attendees:

  • What CEOs and Board members want and need from the head of HR
  • Essential questions—framed in i4cp’s People-Productivity Chain™ model—that allow CHROs to initiate persuasive conversations (specific to any major change initiative) with the executive committee and other business leaders
  • How to ensure executive leaders see the clear connection between what HR does and what the business needs to achieve its objectives now and on a sustainable basis

Shauna Griffiths, senior revenue growth consultant for Change Force AI will present recent research on the communication elements that HR leaders need to consider in order to influence senior line managers and executives when the stakes are significant. To become even more effective in more situations, they need to recognize how those line execs are really going to be making decisions about those recommendations. What do they really think? It might not be what you'd expect. Shauna will address "The Buying Decision: How senior execs really make decisions in high-stakes situations." You'll gain insights which will make you more persuasive and more effective, and elevate your position of partnership with line leaders.

You may register to join in-person in Midtown Manhattan, or virtually via Zoom.
